In a recent interview at his gym, BKFC fighter Diego Romo shared insights into his career, mindset, and dedication to the sport of bare-knuckle boxing. Romo, who fights in the 185-pound weight class, reflected on his journey and how the sport has helped him grow both mentally and physically.
"I started fighting bare knuckle boxing in 2023, and now I am a better boxer," Romo said. "My mind is stronger, I feel good, and I am a warrior. Fighting is my lifestyle, and I am always training—MMA, boxing, wrestling. I am ready for any fight."
Romo's journey began after he impressed at the BKFC tryouts, which led to his first fight about a year and a half ago. Since then, his passion for the sport has only intensified. With a fight lined up this Friday in Utah, he remains laser-focused on training with his team and coach, whom he credits for his success.
"My team and my coach are important in my career because they help me stay sharp and ready for my fights. They are like family to me. I am always happy when I am training with them," Romo added.
"Now that I know my fights will be regular, I’m fully dedicated to bare-knuckle. Kevin made sure I had a fight right after I signed with him, and that means a lot to me," Romo said.
As Romo continues his training and prepares for his next fight, he encouraged his fans to stay tuned, confident that his journey is just beginning.
"Follow me because I am going to be successful in this career. I’m still at the beginning, but I’m young, I’m a warrior, and I will get better every day," Romo said with conviction.
With the support of his team and new management, Diego Romo is ready to conquer the bare-knuckle world, one fight at a time.
