Harold McQueen, BYB Featherweight Champion, Shares Insights at BKFC 66 in Hollywood

At BKFC 66, held at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida, Knuckletown Official’s Shyanna Bintliff caught up with Harold McQueen, the reigning BYB Extreme featherweight division champion. With a record of 3-2 in the Trigon, McQueen shared his thoughts on the night's exciting atmosphere and his support for teammate Howard Davis, a fellow fighter trained in the same camp.

McQueen was full of praise for Davis, whom he had come to support. “He’s been working his ass off. Definitely, he’s prepared,” McQueen commented about Davis, expressing confidence in his friend’s readiness for the fight. “This is my first time seeing him fight live, so I can’t wait to see him do his thing.”

While McQueen was excited about the BKFC event, he had some major news of his own. In addition to an upcoming return to the Trigon in January, McQueen revealed that he will be making his pro boxing debut in Philadelphia next month. He explained that although he has found it hard to secure boxing matchups in the past, he's ready for the new challenge. "Nobody wanted to fight me," McQueen stated, explaining the difficulty he has faced in getting opponents to step into the ring with him.

The transition to pro boxing is something McQueen is looking forward to, though he acknowledged the differences between the two sports. “Boxing is harder,” he admitted, despite Shyanna's lighthearted comment about "pillows on your hands" in boxing compared to the bare-knuckle intensity of his primary sport.

McQueen's humility and respect for all fighters shone through as he paid tribute to his fellow athletes. “Shout out to all the guys. We’re all gladiators. Everybody’s putting their life on the line day in, day out, training hard,” McQueen said, highlighting the dedication of fighters across all combat sports.

With a boxing debut on the horizon and a return to the Trigon scheduled for early next year, Harold McQueen continues to cement his reputation as a fierce competitor in both bare-knuckle fighting and boxing. His fans eagerly await what’s next for the BYB featherweight champion as he prepares for his next big step in the world of combat sports.
