Mark Coleman, Former UFC Champ Hospitalized

Mark Coleman, a former UFC champion, is currently in critical condition after bravely attempting to rescue his parents from a devastating house fire in Toledo, Ohio. The 59-year-old athlete heroically entered the burning building to save his trapped parents, Dan and Connie Foos Coleman.

Despite his courageous efforts, Coleman’s loyal dog, Hammer, tragically perished in the blaze. However, it’s believed that Hammer’s persistent barking may have alerted Coleman, potentially saving his life.

The situation grew dire as the roof collapsed shortly after firefighters arrived at the scene. Coleman was swiftly airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he remains sedated and on a ventilator, according to a close friend.

Knuckletown reached out to Coleman’s longtime friend, Josh “The Hammer” Burns, to gain insight into the situation. Burns, a bare-knuckle fighter, expressed gratitude for Coleman’s strength and character. He highlighted Coleman’s transformation through sobriety and commitment to health, emphasizing his dedication to training and clean living.

“Absolutely. Since he sobered up. I mean, he just changed his life over eating super clean. Liver King was a big part of that. Helping him eat clean, giving him all the the the nutritional supplements. And I mean, he just he’s a training fanatic, always training every day. He’s always about, you know, the clock’s ticking. He’s always on my ass about training. You know, he’s just he’s just he lives the life,” Burns shared.
