In an interview with Knuckletown Official’s Shyanna Blintiff, Quentin Gaskins, who holds a record of 1-0 in BKFC and is a rising star in the 145-pound division, shared his excitement about the night’s fights and his own future in the sport.
Gaskins expressed his pride in his teammate, who is fighting for the 135-pound title. “I’m excited to see my boy fight for a title,” Gaskins said. “He’s undefeated at 6-0 and this fight could make him 7-0. His manifestation has definitely brought him to this point, and I believe he can win this tough fight.” Gaskins' enthusiasm highlights the importance of the fight not only for his teammate but also for the significance of the 135-pound division.
Looking ahead to his own career, Gaskins revealed that he was initially hoping to fight on this card but will instead be participating in a boxing match at the end of October. “Coach JB over at Battle Zone is looking to do a bare-knuckle fight by December. I didn’t want to wait that long, so I’m fighting in a boxing match first,” he explained. Gaskins aims to return to BKFC by early to mid-December and hopes to end the year strong.
When asked about potential opponents, Gaskins emphasized his readiness to take on any challenge. “I don’t have a particular target,” he said. “I’m open to fighting any top ten guy in the 145-pound division. If there are any 145ers out there looking for an opponent, I’m ready and willing to fight.” His readiness to compete with top fighters demonstrates his commitment to making a significant impact in the BKFC arena.
As Gaskins prepares for his upcoming bouts, fans are eager to see what the future holds for this promising fighter. With his focus on high-quality opponents and a clear plan for his career, Gaskins is set to make a powerful statement in the bare-knuckle fighting world.
