Updated: Sep 14

In a special interview at BKFC 66 in Hollywood, Florida, Knuckle Town Official’s Shyanna Bintliff sat down with Valeria "Galáctica" Mejía, the first-ever Peruvian woman to fight in BKFC. Hailing from Peru, Mejía shared her excitement about training in the United States under the guidance of Master Eric Castanos at the renowned John Tiger Foundation gym.

Mejía is aiming for nothing less than the 115lb championship belt and recognizes the challenge that awaits her in a highly competitive division. “The girls in my division are much bigger than me, so I’m focused on training hard and working toward knockouts,” she stated. Mejía also expressed admiration for fighters like Britain Hart, whom she sees as a role model while remaining determined to carve out her own legacy in BKFC.

With her next fight on the horizon, Mejía is ready to prove that her hard work and dedication will pave the way to victory. Stay tuned for more from this trailblazing fighter as she makes her mark in the world of bare-knuckle boxing!
